Monday 9th – Learning Curve was here and it was a great turn out with 25 jumpers. The Darwin crew came and joined in on the fun also. Chanel completed B-Rel Stage 1. Jag completed B-Rel Stage 2 with Johnny. Shane worked through Stage 2 B-Rel with Robin. Todd and Seth worked on their B-Rel Stages 5 and 6.
Tuesday 10th – Day 2 of Learning Curve was even better then yesterday with 30 jumpers and 7 loads, many happy faces were seen. Student Jamie Chalkley returned and completed Stage 4 of his AFF Course with Darren.
Wednesday 11th – Kristina Truesdale completed Stage 4 of her AFF Course and Jamie Chalkley powered through Stages 5, 6, and 7. Seth completed stage6 B-Rel. Jumping finished early due to high winds so Darren ran a gear maintenance seminar.
Thursday 12th – Hot day ahead of us. We still got a few loads in before it got windy and stormy. Shane completed his 4-way B-Rel jumps with Adrian. Todd competed a 4-way jump with Sara, Ellen and Doreen. Marie flew head down with Darren. Adrian ran a Water Landing seminar in the pool. Then it stormed and actually rained.
Friday 13th – Last day of the Learning Curve Camp. Everyone jumped a lot. The Tandem today was Dean Smulder – Congrats. Jamie Chalkley did Stage 8 of his Addiction Package with Darren. 6 fantastic loads for today.
Saturday 14th – Tandems today were the Lapthorne’s, – Georgia, Sophie and Franklin – Congrats. Student Adam Young did Stage 9 – completing his AFF. 9 loads for the day, all filled with happy jumpers.
Sunday 15th – Tandems today were Lachlan and William Feeney, Hannah Martin, Dahlene Pearce, Joanne Christie and Christopher Agius – Congrats. Student Brady Hamilton started his course today and completed Stage 1 of his AFF Course, Andrew Briskey did Stages 7 & 8, and Connor Hill did a Refresher jump with Johnny. Jag did Stage 5 B-Rel with Johnny.
Went with them today for my first ever skydiving. It was amazing, exhilarating and exciting. Don't be scared, there's nothing terrifying about it. Once you are out of the plane, it feels like you're flying.
