Monday 21st January 2019. The story continues: It was a quiet start to the week with only two light Caravan loads. Christopher Lees continued on with his training and did AFF Stages 3 and 4. Local fun jumpers filled the loads.
Tuesday was a bit busier. Nathan Wolff, an old Toogs jumper from way back was here for a refresher. Welcome back mate. Eddie Ljungdahl got stuck into some B-Rel training. Again fun jumpers swelled all three loads.
On WednesdayNathan brought some work mates for tandems and got another jump in too. Laxman Acharya, Sayam Kayastha, Bibek Poudel, Asher Bowen-Saunders all got their knees in the breeze. Che Pritchard was also here for a refresher. More fun jumps, 182 hop & pops and the odd B-Rel kept the day moving.
Not much action for Thursday. The 182 carried the loads and one Caravan load took to the air.
The action picked up on Friday with four Caravan loads to height. Joel Buckley was here for Stage 1 of his AFF Course. About 18 jumpers filled the loads. A few more faces arrived early enough for the sausage sizzle.
Saturday was busy from the start. At one point all 3 DZ aircraft were airborne at the same time. Kristina had the 6 way flattie loads running, swoopers had the 182 running, tandemsDaniel Sturgess, Suzanne Black, Kyle Marles and Jessica Pinkney had the Staff running. The Wing Suiters were flapping away. Plus Joel Buckley did AFF Stages 2 & 3 and Charlotte Roe did Stages 5, 6 & 7. We did 16 Caravan loads and 5 x 182 loads. It was a great Australia Day celebrated with lots of skydiving. Oh, and Ryan had a chopper ride (even though he didn’t really need one. Ryan’s fine after his hard landing).
On Sunday our local snack bar operators Elise Dunstan and Daniel Wright took the big plunge! So did Michelle Nilson. The North QLD 4-Way team “FourPlay” were also here to do a bit of team training practice. It was a pleasant day’s skydiving with eight Caravan loads and a couple of hop and pop loads. Sunday night pub night was good too.
Sayam Kayastha – Glad I am alive 😃 It was an awesome experience, not as scary as I thought it would be.
Bibek Poudel – The best experience of my life. Freefall is the best and the instructor Adrian was amazing. 😃
Laxman Acharya – Amazing experience with lots fun & fears. Thanks a lot for ‘flying’ from ground to air towards ground again.
Asher Bowen-Saunders – Beautiful experience falling through space & time.
Jessica Pinkney – The Skydive was amazing! I loved the free fall and just the whole experience. Looking forward to next time. 😃
Michelle Nilsen AKA Toogoolawah Lollypop Lady – I had the time of my life! Never know I may be back.
4-Way Team – Team FourPlay – North Qld – Coach Paul Osborne, Steven Hicks, Cain Vella, Anna Mueller – Thank you Kristina and Alex for the RW coaching, Ollie Morris to catch it all on camera, Dave, Claude, Doylie, Ben. Great atmosphere. Nice skydivers. We improved +++++. Come and visit North QLD.
I'm a new jumper and it was heaven on earth for me!
You always get to $14000 feet and you are surrounded by fun jumpers with crazy skill keen to teach.
