Zak Tilling – Completed AFF Adam Parker – 100th Jump Jeanine Glasson – C Licence and Star Crest
On Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th of August we were closed for jumping and the DZ Staff carried out a great DZ preparation Working Bee. The place is looking great. Wait until you see our new Turkey Hut carpet.
On Wednesday our tandem was Charles Morgan. Our newest students Aaron Costa and Mahmoud Kammouna did Stage 1 of their AFF Courses. Zak Tilling (second generation skydiver) did his Stage 7 and Joel Adams did a refresher.
On ThursdayMahmoud and Aaron got stuck into it and did Stages 2, 3 & 4 of their courses. Zak Tilling did Stages 8 & 9 and completed his AFF – congratulations!
Friday was a bit windy, painful. Mahmoud Kammouna and Aaron Costa managed an AFF Stage jump each.
Saturday wasn’t much better with the windy conditions. However we managed a few loads and our Tandems were Haami Crawford, Gerard Tyler and Jeremy Duncan got to jump. Our students were on standby most of the day. Diego Quieroz, Mahmoud Kammouna, Aaron Costa and Zak Tilling we not going home!!
Sunday was a bit better weather-wise but not muck. Our ten Tandems for the day were Janette Johnson, Talen Copeland, Greg Copeland, Mitchell Holmes, Thomas Holmes, Scott Aitken, Grace Oxenham, Dean Langbridge, Rory McElwee and Sarah Huang.
Diego Quieroz did Stages 5, 6 & 7 of his AFF Course. Aaron Costa did Stages 6 & 7. There was a bit of other jumping activity happening, fun jumps and B-Rels.
Both our Caravan aeroplanes have been fitted with jumper oxygen. Ben Nordkamp organised our first high altitude, 18,000ft jump. Yahoo! We are now ready for 18,000’ skydiving. Tandems anyone?
