We completed four star crest jumps on a beautiful winter Saturday, a cold morning, warm day generally on the ground and minus 9 Celsius at height (improved during the day). Three star crest applicants (known as crestlings – thanks for that, Kerry Hook) participated. It was a big learning day – mistakes made and huge skill improvement.
Congratulations to Geoff Stillman for completing his star crest jumps, Geoff you’re now officially a legend. Jeanine Glasson and Elise Smith-Bessen worked hard and Jeanine completed her second successful jump.
Rangry and Mark looked after us on camera and did a great job. Special thanks also to the experienced jumpers who turned out and supported our crestlings – Kristine Hicks, Kerry Hook, Captain Woo, Steve Brett and Tobi McKerahan and to the great support we as always received from Ramblers (camera tix much appreciated Macca) and SQPC.
A call to all those out there who still want o complete your star crests – 18 August is the next day. Please let Martin know if you’re interested.
Next star crest day – 18 August

These events don’t fly themselves – we need experienced jumpers to come along and help on one or more or all jumps on the day. The crestlings are the people you’re looking to fly with, whether in relative work, freefly or wingsuit, so come and support them.

Had an absolute great time learning this amazing sport... I am absolutely hooked. My partner also did 2 tandem jumps, considering that she doesn't like flying or heights and yet due to the nature of Ramblers and their instructors and staff, she is definitely hooked as well. Absolutely recommend Ramblers either for an experience of a life time or to complete a full course. You will not regret it.
