Cloud Kisses & Canopy Chronicles

🏆 Achievements

⭐️ Congrats to Glen for completing AFF Stage 9!
⭐️ Big cheers to Angus for earning his A Certificate
⭐️ Kudos to Woody and Haarvard for achieving their B Certificates.
⭐️ High five to Hayden for hitting the 100 jumps milestone—legend!

🪂 Drop Zone Action

Bit of a slower start to the week with just a handful of experienced fun jumpers and one or two students taking to the skies. But from Friday onwards, Toogs lit up!

Over the Easter long weekend, we were blessed with perfect skydiving weather—blue skies and light winds made for stunning conditions. Fun jumpers, students, and Tandems were all in full swing. Manifest was flat out turning loads, instructors were flat-chat teaching, Tandem masters were busy introducing new jumpers to freefall, packers were hustling, and the pilots were non-stop. Absolute ripper of a weekend!

No time to chill though—Learning Curve Camp kicks off Monday with a solid crew already booked in. Stay tuned for pics from the action!

🏁 First Jump Course

On Saturday, Ashley and Aysha completed their ground training and signed up for 10 Jump Packages. On Sunday Aysha smashed out her first solo jump with AFF Stage 1, and followed it up with Stage 2 —welcome to the sport!

⭐️ Student Progression

Christian powered through AFF Stages 1 to 3, and Joao Pedro flew through Stages 1 to 7 in just three days—nice one! Siyu completed Stages 6 and 7, Tiare knocked out Stages 5 to 8, and Jessie progressed from Stages 4 to 8—so close! Glen wrapped up Stage 9 and officially completed his AFF Course—congrats!

☀️ Refreshers & B-Rels

Jake and Stuart sat in on the First Jump Course and were back in the sky over the weekend—welcome back!
B-Rel and Coach jumps were done by Robert, Alexander, Paul, Aaron, Keren, and Jack, with Jake and Stuart also doing refresher jumps. Massive thanks to Shani, Wayne, Chris, Li, Dawn and Toddy for the coaching and guidance.

🪂 Tandems

This week’s Tandem legends: Ben, Blyce, Sarah, Selwyn, Mark, Kylie, Frank & Leigh, Vanessa, Emily, Mikaela, Jeremy, Jacob (21st Birthday surprise!), Ammie, Ben, Phil & Philip, and Abby—cheers for jumping with us!

🔥 Event Highlight: Burn Angles Camp

On the weekend, experienced freeflyers gathered for the BURN Ramblers Angles Camp, led by Vincent Brazier from the Burn Perspective crew. Coaches Ryan Dudderidge, Vincent, and Jeremy Brazier ran movement jump sessions for angle flyers with experience in groups of six or more, with Tommy Siera capturing it all on camera. Massive thanks to SQPC and TSC for making the event happen.

Tommy Siera: “Firsts @burnperspective camp back at @skydiveramblerstoogoolawah for the season. The weather was insane, crew insane and new plane was nice and fast! Thanks to all that came and the DZ crew for looking after us.”

Cheers to everyone who made it out, helped out, jumped in, or just brought the good vibes. Here’s to blue skies ahead…

Catch you in freefall,
The Ramblers Crew 🪂

Bill, Just a note to say thanks to you mate for your continued support it was a great trip. I would also like to bring to your leadership teams attention the exceptional support provided by Andy who did the tandem jump with a great friend of mine, Julie. To say Julie was petrified on the lead up to the big day would be a huge understatement. I had my doubts that she would actually exit on the day. I put her decision to exit firmly in the hands of Andy who excelled in calming her down, reassuring her whilst having a bit of a laugh along the way. The manner in which he guided her through what was to her a daunting task was oustanding to watch. He should be commended not only for his flight skills but also his raport and interaction with the customer. I was not surprised to find out he had a military background. Ramblers should be proud to have such fine men on their books as you and Andy, Bill.
