Monday 25th October. Charley the Cessna 182 carried the first load of the week. Then Homer the Caravan did a couple of high loads. Adam Harmey was on all three and successfully completed Stages 3, 4 & 5 of his AFF Course. Our Tandems were Elizabeth and Hathaichanok Mollard, welcome to the sky! Local fun jumpers also filled the loads.
On TuesdayAdam continued on and did Stages 6, 7 & 8 of his AFF Course. We did another three loads for the day, all from the Caravan. A few more fun jumpers were here along with Terry and Bree who started their B-Rels and Matt did his B-Rel Stage 2.
Wednesday was busy, three C182 loads and 3 Caravan loads. Toni Bacon arrived and did Stage 1 of her AFF Course and Adam Harmey did Stage 9 – completing his AFF Course. Congratulations Adam! 17 skydivers got their knees in the breeze.
Thursday was a bit quieter, only two Caravan loads. Christian Sutton was back and did Stages 8 & 9, completing his AFF Course, another Congratulations! Adam started his B-Rels.
It was a public holiday on Friday and about 33 skydivers made the most of it. Our Tandems on the day were Jessica Eland, Daniel Timson and Riley Turnbull.
Our newest student Dylan Tonkin did AFF Stage 1. And Toni Bacon did Stage 2 & 3, Jake Masters and Zayne Stoner did Stages 3, 4 & 5. Sarah our pilot flew all five loads Caravan loads.
Saturday was perfect weather, but sort of quiet but there were over 30 skydivers here. Four C182 Hop and Pop loads started the day. Our only Tandem today was Cael Chawner.
New AFF students Adam Harney, Jake Masters, Zayne Stoner and Mitchell Kuhne all successfully completed Stage 1 of their AFF Courses. Another few C182 loads finished the day and a beaut bonfire finished it off.
Sunday started with four more C182 loads. The weather was a bit windy but our new TandemsJayke Casey, and Gerlinde and Jeremy Stewart got their jumps done. It was our only high load for the day and then the winds got stronger. Ding, Ding, – the bar opened early!
This is the place for your AFF Skydive Course! It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life and in no small part due to the great people at the Toogoolawah dropzone. I highly recommend this place for those considering learning how to throw themselves out of a perfectly good airplane. You won't regret your decision.
