9 & 10 October: Bigways Camp
“Ramblers treated us to beautiful jumping weather for Saturday and Sunday, with only a brief wind hold. A keen group of FS jumpers took advantage on Saturday with four excellent jumps. Sunday was a quieter day, but a reduced group started the day well with a smoking four way.
There were great efforts all round from both experienced as well as emerging FS participants, and much learned. Fred, for example, demonstrated the inadvisability of completing the exit in an upright standing position, quickly followed by a demonstration of head down. And made the formation in time and calm as you can. Great effort Fred. Also a special mention to Steve Brett who stayed on all weekend and set a high standard.
We were well supported by Dave Brown on camera, as we so often are, and by the friendly and helpful Ramblers manifest and instructors staff. Thank you to Ramblers, to Toogoolawah Skydivers Club for supporting us with camera jumps (you make it all possible), and South Queensland Parachute Council for dependable and constant backup.”
