Photos Missed From Last Week:
This newsletter was supposed to start from Wednesday but most of the week was rained and/or blown out! So it’s Newsletter time and it’s Friday 9th of March. And still the weather was “iffy”. We had some freeflyers about. Mason and his crew did 3 loads. Great sausage sizzle, thanks Doyley.
And you guessed it, on Saturday the weather was only just jumpable for the first load in the morning. The flatties were dirt dived ready for a hot load but it was not to be. Our new students Robert Peter Lyndon, Charles Grevell and Drew McDade started their 1st Jump Course and got Stage 1 done in the afternoon when we managed two more windy jumps. But people were leaving. The DZ was looking bare.
Holly and John Leach were here bright and early Saturday morning to start the TSC Working Bee to paint the bar. A few more members chipped in on Saturday and got the job done. Well done Holly for getting it going, and John and the Team!
It was similar Sunday. Good weather, bad weather. Only the die-hards remained. Our Tandems were Ben Canning and Hayden Williams, both mates of jumpers. Student Brandon Petterssen managed Stage 8.
Mason’s crew were still at it and at least picked up some good info as well as more than a few jumps.
And yeah, you guessed it again. On Monday the weather was perfect! Load four is in the air now.
Ben Canning – That was the maddest thing ever. Thanks Adrian.
Awesome Autumn
Ramblers Super Savings Initiatives
…for the month of March only!
Ramblers is a great club and a great drop zone. It was 39 years ago and it is now. I have just gone through the photos of my tandem jump with Darren and relived the whole exhilarating experience again - even my husband was impressed. Congratulations to Dave McEvoy for such a fantastic venue.
