Welcome 2018! It’s going to be a big year. It’s going to go quick. It sure started off big! It’s Newsletter Time. It’s Monday 1st New Year’s Day and we had a day OFF! We had Tuesday the 2nd off too – from jumping that is – the weather was only good enough for a DZ clean up, and did we get stuck into it! By the end of the day the DZ looked great. Thanks to all the Volunteers.
But on Wednesday 3rd it was Game On! New students KuMin Tien, Jake Mackell, Nicolas Bonastre, & Robert Stewart did Stage 1 of their AFF Courses. Brodie Irwin did B-Rel Stage 4. Adrian did his 1000th jump! Congratulations Big Time. We were off to a good start.
There were a bunch of fun jumpers here too. Matt and Isaac kept the pace up.
On Thursday 4th Game On continued. Our new tandems were young fellers Max Young and Samuel Blomley.
Our new students Rob, Jake and KunMin did Stages 2, 3 & 4 of their AFF Courses, and Nicholas did Stage 2.
The fun jumpers kept the plane going. We did five good loads.
Friday was Funtastic! There was over 30 skydivers here and it seemed like Saturday! Plus our newest skydivers, new students Harley Weston, Jason O’Shea and Paul McElhenny all did Stage 1 AFF. Rob & KunMin did Stages 5, 6, 7 & 8! Jake did Stages 5 & 6.
Saturday was full on. Skydivers everywhere! Well, at least 40. We did 12 loads and there was a really good feeling on the Drop Zone. Our new skydivers doing their tandems were Jonny Thorn, Zachary Rocks, Dale Shuttleworth and Lucas Mota. Welcome aboard.
We had about 9 students here. Harley Weston did Stages 2 & 3 of his AFF course and Jason O’Shea and Paul McElhenny did Stages 2, 3 & 4. Heath Bamford did Stages 4, 5 & 6, while Jake Mackell did Stages 7 & 8. Kun Min Tien and James Smeath both completed Stage 9, well done –Yahoo!
On Sunday we had a great day’s fun jumping (and a great night!). And our students made the most of the day – all nine of them. It was busy! Jason O’Shea did Stage 4 of his AFF Course. Greg Casey and Aaron Brogden did Stages 7, 8 & 9, well done! And Jake Mackell also did Stage 9 – all completing their AFF. Fantastic!
The first week of the year was a beauty! See ya 2017. Hello 2018.
Thank you everybody who has jumped, worked and loved being a Rambler of Toogoolawah.
