Vertical Descent 7 was held at Skydive Ramblers last weekend on March 15 & 16. This was a Head Down event consisting of 2 groups, 9-way and 5-way. A Head down crest was mandatory to attend the event, as well as top notch freefly friendly equipment.

This event was brought to you by the team at VD Static, Skydive Ramblers, SQPC and TSC.

Vertical Descent # 7

Vertical Descent #7 was held at Skydive Ramblers last weekend on March 15 & 16. This was a Head Down event consisting of 2 groups, 9-way and 5-way.

Multiple camps and a heap of fun jumpers and students were at the DZ, eager to hit the skies with some primo weather. Unfortunately, the white caravan with the new engine couldn’t quite make it in time, so it was up to Homer to run hard all day until sunset. Special thanks to Sara for all her help!

Coaches Matt Thomas and Dave Schlatter took 12 participants to the sky and Safe, Fun, Progressive jumps were had by all. We completed 8 jumps over the 2 days and saw some epic progression. Outside Cam Puttee and John Hannan were with us and captured some great footage and pics.

Special thanks to all of the participants, outside camera flyers and coaches. Skydive Ramblers and all of the team, SQPC and TSC for their continued support! It would not be possible without you all!”

We spent eight days at Skydive Ramblers and had great time. Awesome DZ, awesome friendly staff, great airplane and facilities. Accommodation on premises was great and very reasonably priced. We also enjoyed after jumping socialising at the bar on DZ and great food both at DZ and in nearby Toogoolawah town. Skydive Ramblers are wingsuit friendly and there is plenty of landing space around DZ.
Highlight of our trip was incredible kangaroo action at landing area - we did literally land on kangaroos and it was great fun :-) There are also wild koalas in the area.
