Skydiving—it’s all about the weather! Blue skies and light winds make for epic jumping days… but this week, Mother Nature had other plans. Strong winds kept us on our toes, but we still managed to squeeze in a few AFFjumps before conditions forced us to stay grounded.
The weekend shaped up better for our experienced fun jumpers and Tandems, making the most of the breaks in the weather. Big shoutout to Chris and Dawn for organising another successful Belly Bash—always a great time! Unfortunately, Sunday brought the wind back in full force, keeping everyone on the ground.
Kicking things off, Changeui, Joshua, and Josh took on their First Jump Course and got their first taste of the sport—welcome to skydiving!
Our ongoing students powered through their AFF Course, with Jordan tackling Stages 2 and 3; Ting Ting smashing out Stages 2, 3, and 4; and Glenn pushing throughStages 3, 4, and 5 Solid progress, legends!
We also had some familiar faces back in the sky, with Dane, Barry, and Nathaniel shaking off the cobwebs with refresher jumps. Great to see you back in action!
Over in the Tandem world, the thrill-seekers didn’t let the wind dampen their spirits! Sonja, Jeff, Brodie, Jordan, Phil, Quentin, Kabir, and Devin all took the leap and experienced the magic of freefall—what a ride!
🤞🏻Fingers crossed for blue skies and lighter winds next week. 🪂

Belly Bash – Load Organising with Dawn & Chris (1st March)
Another BellyBash, another windy forecast!! We certainly didn’t expect to get 4 epic jumps in, but to our amazement, we did!! Thanks so much to everyone for coming out and absolutely smashing it!! We did some variations on open accordions with some funky block moves into stairstep zippers, and finished on an incredible dynamic 9-way! Thanks to our awesome camera flyers Steve Fitch and Dave Brown, and from our generous sponsors – Skydive Ramblers, SQPC, TSC and Mee Loft!!
Attendees: Chris Dodds, Dawn Adams, Steve Fitch, David Brown, Martin Klapper, Steve B., Emily Hatfield, Emily McG., Tim R., Charleen H., Zurika B., Matthew McK., Travis McCartin, Aaron R., Scott F., Josh N., Alex Y., Alex C., Cat B., Adrian B., Cheri B..
Today I went flying for the first time in a long time, as I had a stroke 3 and a bit years ago. Just wanted say thank u Ramblers for bringing me a great day and a bit of normality back in my life. Again I would like to thank all the people that truly made my day and the special man, that looked after me. It won't be my last time out there. And would recommend this experience to anyone. Again thanks to everybody involved.
