Drop Zone Action

YAY another week of skydiving. The beginning of the week was terrible, low clouds and drizzle no jumping happened. By mid week the weather cleared up and we were back on track smashing out awesome jumps. The students got back in the air and finish their AFF course and left with A licences. Congrats too all!!

Students Baptiste, Quentin and Ilyes returned and completed AFF 9 finishing their AFF Courses, good work! And we welcomed our new AFF students Morgan, Robert and Layne. B-Rel Coach jumps were done by Matt, Keren and Zac.

Tandem jumps were done by Aidan and Sebastian. Congratulations!

On Saturday, the 13th July 2024, to celebrate the fantastic sport of skydiving, we, together with all others drop zones, set a WORLD SKYDIVING DAY RECORD!

Also on the weekend we had Natisha Dingle running TSC Star Crests with a few new jumpers joining in and some experienced jumpers also helping.

TSC Star Crests with Natisha Dingle

“We had an amazing weekend. Elian H.,Tiana H., Daniel S., Hannah J. all completed all 3 of their Star Crest. Luke M. completed his last and Dominic G. completed one. Thank you to SQPC, TSC and Skydive Ramblers for supporting the event. We had plenty of helpers so thank you to everyone. We had bad weather on the Saturday so I ran two more sunday morning as everyone was so keen.”

To celebrate the fantastic sport of skydiving, we, together with all others drop zones, did set a WORLD SKYDIVING DAY RECORD on Saturday, the 13th July 2024. 67 Skydivers did 117 jumps at our Toogoolawah Drop Zone.

Anyone who has an interest in making a skydive was able to participate! Tandems, Students, or Fun Jumpers can submit proof of their skydive on the www.worldskydivingday.com website and be counted and order a certificate to show they were part of a WORLD SKYDIVING DAY RECORD!

We spent eight days at Skydive Ramblers and had great time. Awesome DZ, awesome friendly staff, great airplane and facilities. Accommodation on premises was great and very reasonably priced. We also enjoyed after jumping socialising at the bar on DZ and great food both at DZ and in nearby Toogoolawah town. Skydive Ramblers are wingsuit friendly and there is plenty of landing space around DZ.
Highlight of our trip was incredible kangaroo action at landing area - we did literally land on kangaroos and it was great fun :-) There are also wild koalas in the area.
