Drop Zone Action

Another fabulous week of skydiving adventures. It was a little bit slower during this week, but we still managed to get Homer, the yellow Caravan into the sky’s multiple during the week.

Friday night brought a great looking full moon. We took that opportunity to run a couple of Night Jumps and it wasn’t as cold as you thought it would be up there. Thanks, Cambo, for organising the night jumps, and Ben for DZSO. Stay tuned as I have heard there may be another night jump planned for Aug/Sept.

Belly Bash was on again on Saturday, thank to Chris and Dawn for running it. Check out the photos below. Next weekend we have ‘Vertical Descent 2’ organised by Matt (Mad Dog). Head on over to our website events calendar or join us on Facebook to keep up to date on our upcoming events.

New students for the week were Eduardo and Mitchell H. Our ongoing students for the week were Chiu-Hsiao, Margot, Scott, Elijah and Mitchell W., who continued through their AFF Courses. Certificate B training B-Rel jumps were done by Arta, Dakota, Akalia, Alekia, Conrad and James. And we welcomed our newest Tandem skydivers Dinesha, William, Laasya, Mamatha, Leon, Shashaank, Felipe, Edward and Dylan – big High-Fives, we look forward to seeing you coming back for more.

Who remembers CHY-182? Don’t worry we still have it; CHY went away to get some minor improvements on it and should be back in the skies very shortly.

A while ago Ben misplaced his jumpsuit. After a lot of looking everywhere, even in the couch. It was found to be hanging up exactly where it should be. Toddy and Robin to the rescue…

Belly Bash – Saturday 22nd June

I don’t know about you, but we’re still buzzing from last Saturday’s BellyBash! The sun and Koalas were out, the winds were nil, and we had a full plane load of BellyBashers ready to smash out some dynamic moves!

We started with 5-way blocks to build up the skills of splitting-up formations whilst flying the pieces super close – building-up to variations of the dynamic Stars and Stripes jump. These were really tough technical skydives but you legends absolutely nailed it!!!

As ever, massive thanks to our sponsors, Skydive Ramblers, Toogoolawah Skydivers Club, and Queensland Parachuting Association – NQPC and SQPC – and to our awesome camera fliers – Steve Fitch – Fitchimages, Michael Young, and Jason Cambieras.

Attendees: Dawn Adams & Chris Dodds, Nicolas D., Sean L., Luke M., Jeffrey J., Denzil S., Abby T., Jade C., Daniel C., Travis McC., Brendan B., Stephen B., Adrian B., Jason Camberia, Michael Young, and Steve Fitchett.

See ya,

Macca and Team Ramblers.

As a SCUBA Instructor, I'm watchful for safety and professionalism in other extreme sports and the staff, buildings, equipment, plane and even other customers at Ramblers all gave me a feeling of safety and comfort in addition to being genuinely welcoming as newcomer to their sport. If you haven't been and have been wanting to skydive - this is a GREAT place to start your newest addiction. : )
