And for something different this Newsletter, starting Monday 24th July, we started a Static Line Instructors Course with John Godwin which continued for a few days.

On Tuesday Giselle Godwin rocked her tandem. The local instructors were sure getting used to static lines! Other fun jumpers kept the 182 going strong (Homer was away for scheduled maintenance).

We were back to normal on Thursday. Tandems today were Riata Ready, Keenan Tucker, and Nicolas Giglio, all out of the 182. Again several fun jumpers were here enjoying the “novelty” aircraft.

Friday was back to normal, Homer was back – yahoo. Two of Roger Mulckey’s tunnel students, Peter Costigan and Cary Deakin were here getting some real skydiving under their wings. Grant Ford was also here doing some B-Rels.

Over 50 fun jumpers made a day of it. Our only tandem today was Tracey Morison. However another 7 students kept us busy. Angela Lions did Stage 4, Michael Benfer and Alex Knight did Stages 4 & 5, and Dylan Bryer did Stages 7 & 8. Plus B-Rels. Plus wing suiters. Plus Susan, Macca’s daughter returned today for a couple of jumps, six months after giving birth to son Blair.

Sunday was a little quieter, only about 40 fun jumpers were here. Our new IAD student Brett Jeisman did Stage 1. Angela Lions did AFF Stages 5 & 6, and Doug Wills did Stages 5, 6 & 7. Intermediates Jamie and James also knocked out a jump. Grant did a couple of B-Rels. We managed 14 sorties for the day. Then it was quiet, the week was done.

Visitor Book Comments:

Giselle Godwin – Awesome tandem jump with Sara Bear.  Big smile still on my face, loved the exit and felt really safe.  Thank you Toogs D.Z.

Shouted my brother for his 40th to a night sky dive. We absolutely loved it! Best experience ever! The team at Ramblers made us feel well looked after, safe, best humour, can’t thank you enough. We’ve both done day sky dives before but this was next level. Watching the sunset and flying into the sky with fading light & jumping out into darkness. Highly recommended!
