Why Skydive Solo

While jumping out of an airplane solo at 14,000 feet above the earth may seem like something only a crazy person would consider doing, it’s actually for anyone who needs to quench their adventurous spirit. Everyone is looking to disconnect from the mundane routine of every-day life and solo skydiving does just that – you really can’t think about anything else when you’re flying a parachute above the earth and landing it yourself – with radio assistance by an instructor on the ground, of course. We won’t leave you completely alone in the sky to fend for yourself just yet!

What’s It Like

In order to learn to skydive solo, you’ll need to attend a course known as AFF (Accelerated Freefall), which consists of ground training followed by nine solo training jumps. This is the most modern method of learning to skydive and is designed for beginners with zero experience. In the course, you’ll learn about skydiving equipment, freefall skydiving maneuvers as well as techniques to help you fly your parachute. While this may sound a little nerve-wracking to someone who has never done it before, the course is designed for you to have fun and learn all at the same time. During your AFF jumps, you’ll jump with solo parachute equipment and two instructors will skydive alongside you, holding onto you. You exit solo after Stage 6, with one instructor following you. By the time you complete all of your training jumps, you’ll be cleared to jump completely solo!

What’s the Cost

Included in your jumps will be your student parachute equipment, which is state-of-the-art because your safety is very important to us.

When Can I Get Started

We have four full-time instructors on our staff and our instructors are among the most experienced in the country. To get started, you’ll need to attend our First Jump Course, which we regularly host every Saturday, and every other day by appointment. You’ll spend the day in ground training and make your first jump in the afternoon, weather permitting.
